Novice Smoker Moving On In at BDR

BDR readers will be happy to hear that as of Sunday night (30-May-2010), BDR will be the home to Novice Smoker articles. The Novice Smoker was a blog that centered around my adventures in smoking and, to a lesser extent, grilling. I’ve decided that the two blogs should be one – more so because Novice Smoker was getting enough love than any other reason. This merge is exciting in that it will allow BDR readers to enjoy the typical info we post here in addition to all the BBQ-related goodies that have been part of the Novice Smoker heritage.

Remember to update your links so they point to BDR – https://bigdansramblings.wordpress.com

KC Ends Sox Win Streak At 5

Boston Red SoxIn his first start after nearly throwing a no-hitter, Daisuke Matsuzaka walked eight batters and let up three runs on two hits in just 4-2/3 innings, allowing the Kansas City Royals to escape with a 4-3 victory and end the Sox winning streak at 5.

The Sox loss coupled with the Rays win over the White Sox puts the Sox 6.5 games back in the AL East (3rd place) heading into the Memorial Day weekend. There’s still plenty of season to go, but they need to start beating teams like the Royals if they want to maintain any kind of playoff contention.

All of a sudden the previously assumed entrance of the 2009-10 Boston Celtics into the NBA Finals is not such a done deal. Boston fans are reeling after the Bruins major letdown after going up 3-0 in their playoff series…could the C’s be next?
